We build products from

Everything rests on one digital library, built together with the public. Out of it came a calendar app, a batik design tool, a conversational assistant, a video channel, and a shelf of books.

About
Why we do this.
Most cultural knowledge in Indonesia lives in memory and habit rather than in records. As long as someone still practises it, the knowledge holds. Once the practice stops, there is usually no written reference left to recover it from.
So we work on two things at once. First, recording: gathering cultural entries with the public, checking them, then storing them in one consistent structure so they can be found again. Second, putting them to use, through products that bring the archive into everyday life.

Are the apps paid?
Every app is free to download. Kosmogram Nusantara and PDBI offer in-app subscriptions that unlock advanced features. phyBatik comes in two versions, free and Pro, both on the App Store and Google Play. Obrol Sandi is free to use, within certain usage limits.
Where does the archive come from?
From public contributions through the Indonesian Digital Cultural Library, built together with the Sobat Budaya community and individual contributors across the country. Entries are checked before they enter the collection.
Can I contribute an entry?
Yes. Anyone can add a new entry, fill in gaps, or correct mistakes at budaya-indonesia.org.
App only, or is there a web version?
Each product has its own site: kosmogram.id, phybatik.co.id, budaya-indonesia.org, and budaya-indonesia.ai. The apps are on the App Store and Google Play.
Where can I buy the books?
At our official Tokopedia store. Each title has its own page on this site.
